Index Librorum Prohibitorum

This is how every major religion is working to undermine the knowledge which could potentially effect our humanity in positive way. Even if this list was abolished, religion still seeks ways how to play with human feelings and to keep them “alert” in case if people are needed to follow religious doctrines blindly.
This is the list of books prohibited by the Catholic Church, but every religion has its own list too. Some of these lists are still in effect.

“Index Librorum Prohibitorum” or the list of Prohibited Books was a list of diverse publications prohibited by the Catholic Church. This “Index” included authors and intellectuals whose works are part of scientific curriculum of today’s most leading universities, like of Kepler, Voltaire, Jean Paul Sartre, Simone de Beauvoir, Victor Hugo, John Locke, Blaise Pascal, Immanuel Kant, Denis Diderot, David Hume and many more. The “Index” was abolished in 1966.

Religion as term could be considered as ideology that has epistemophobic approach to life and objective truth, i.e., the fear of knowledge.
