If God actually ever existed, he/she/it would give us one perfect command, not dozens of narcissistic ones. However, since such entity doesn’t exist, humans – the smart ones who wanted power over the masses – created imperfect list of commands and “God’s” wishes in order to achieve their goal. Those commands and wishes would speak more about human characteristics than about godly ones, e.g., jealousy: killing all who do not follow “his/hers/its” ideology – even if they are decent and good-willing people, doesn’t matter, kill them (also human characteristic), etc. The list goes on and on. So, I am starting a new religion – as an atheist quite weird, I know – which will have only one rule: “Thou shalt be not an asshole”.
