Within some societies women are relatively free to do whatever they want, which is a good thing. However, in that process I’ve noticed something else too. Namely, many of them are taking those freedoms for granted and forgetting how difficult it was for women to establish and to reach them in the first place. Even today, in “modern times” that process is far from being over. It is a continuing mission with even more challenging problems and conflicts to be solved.
Today, women are putting so much effort into physical [plastic] beauty and attention to things that drive them away from the goals which can really improve the quality of their lives. If women ever decide to put so much effort into their education and development as they do into artificial beauty, they would have taken the world by now.
A good friend of mine once said: “There is a lot of pressure from society on how a woman should look like, act like, and women do what society expects them to do. Whether it’s completely covering up or covering up with make-up“
