These two pictures tell the whole story. The men with headscarfs send their kids to study in the best universities in the West, they buy weapons and expensive cars from the West, visit the best night clubs of the West and stretch their hands to women of the West. But at the same time they invest billions in mosques in the West that teach these women that showing their hair and touching the hand of a man are sins. This has nothing to do with freedom of faith. It has to do with moral superiority and segregation. On the other hand, Scandinavian countries have built an effective but strict welfare system, which is not only aiming at helping the weak and needy, but in the first place at empowering every member of the community to be independent and responsible. The system was build according to a principle on the board of the Viking ship. Everyone is equal on the ship, and the group is there to help every individual, but also every individual is trained to be the captain of the ship once the captain can’t do his job! Some immigrants don’t understand that this welfare system isn’t a charity foundation. The system has two sides: the side of kindness and generosity on the one hand, and the side of responsibility and freedom on the other. They stretch their hands to social help, to free healthcare and free education for their kids, but not to freedom, independence and responsibility. These two pictures sum up the crisis of immigration in welfare states and the asymmetrical relation of East and West in general!
